A message was received Wednesday morning from Bismarck, N.D. announcing the death of Ava Mills Wilcox, daughter of Ephraim and Martha (Cox) Mills on September 27, 1922.
The remains are being brought to Winterset for burial. Services at the Baptist church Saturday morning.

Ava Winona Mills, youngest daughter of Ephriam S. and Martha A. Mills was born in Madison county, Dec. 4, 1893 and departed this life Sept. 26, 1922, age 28 years, 9 months, 22 days, at Bismark, N.D.
She was married to Burton S. Wilcox May 16, 1915, at Winterset, Iowa, and departed at once for Hensler, N.D., where she lived until last October, when she moved with her husband to Center, N.D.
At the age of 17, Mrs. Wilcox united with the First Baptist church at Winterset but there being no home church in her new location, she transferred by letter to the Congregational church at Hensler, where she was one of the leading workers.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at 10 o'clock Saturday.
