GLENDA “STEVIE” TUTTLE, Winterset

Glenda "Stevie" Tuttle, 74, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009.

A visitation will be held 1 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare in Winterset, with family present to receive friends 5 to 8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Ochiltrees. Burial of the cremated remains will be at the Peru Cemetery immediately following services. Memorials may be directed to the family in honor of Glenda.

Glenda "Stevie" Weaver was born in Cumming, Iowa on September 12, 1934, to John William and Eula Faye (Goodwin). Glenda married Robert R. Tuttle Sr., March 24, 1962 in Omaha, NE.

Glenda was employed as a waitress for most of her working years. She financially supported many children's charities and many other worthy causes too numerous to mention. Glenda loved to spend time out in her flower garden, was an excellent cook and was the consummate homemaker. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and especially taking care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Tuttle of Winterset; her children, Leslie (Angella) Wiles of Coon Rapids; Julia Bardwell of Winterset; Michael (Cindy) Wiles of Winterset; Christie (Keith) Staples of Brighton, CO; Rustin Tuttle of Winterset; Robert "Dusty" Tuttle, Jr. of Winterset; Carol (Richard) Seward of Sacramento, CA; Lacey (Jeff) Kurth of Winterset; five siblings; John (Marty) Weaver of Norwalk; Dixie Spencer of Hamlin; Carol (Jr.) Fleming of Audubon; James (Elsie) Weaver of Indianola; and Alan (Shelley) Weaver of Indianola; 22 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Wiles; a grandson, Jeremy Snyder; a granddaughter Shiloh Wiles, and two siblings; Robert Weaver and Ronda Phipps.

Glenda “Stevie” Tuttle, 74, of Winterset died July 29, 2009, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 1, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. Burial of the cremated remains was at Peru Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family in honor of Glenda.

Glenda “Stevie” Tuttle was born Sept. 12, 1934, to John William and Eula Faye (Goodwin) Weaver of Cumming. Her marriage to Robert R. Tuttle Sr. took place March 24, 1962, in Omaha, Neb. Glenda was employed as a waitress for most of her working years. She financially supported many children’s charities and other worthy causes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Richard Wiles; a grandson, Jeremy Wade Snyder; a granddaughter, Shiloh Wynn Wiles; and two siblings — Robert William Weaver and Ronda Murrell Phipps.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Winterset; her children — Leslie Wayne Wiles of Coon Rapids, Julia Ann Bardwell of Winterset, Michael Curtis Wiles of Winterset, Christie Lynn Staples of Brighton, Colo., Rustin Wade Tuttle of Winterset, Robert “Dusty” Raymond Tuttle Jr. of Winterset, Carol Sue Seward of Sacramento, Calif., and Lacey Jo Kurth of Winterset; five siblings — John Phillip Weaver of Norwalk, Dixie Lou Spencer of Hamlin, Carol Ann Fleming of Audubon, James Martin Weaver of Indianola, and Alan Paul Weaver of Indianola; and 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
