Dorothy Stump, 81, died on July 6, 2009, at Madison County Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines. Entombment will be at Merle Hay Mausoleum.
Mrs. Stump was born on December 14, 1927, in Mineral Wells, TX and lived in central Iowa all of her life. She was a retired cook with Saydel Public Schools.
She is survived by her sons, James of Dallas Center and Rick of Winterset; daughter, Carolyn Decker of Lorimor; sisters, Betty Williams of Reno, NV and Sharon Adams of Concord, CA; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
