Linda Beeler, 70, died June 12, 2009, at Winterset Care Center South.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date, with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Blank Performing Arts Center Expansion Project at Simpson College or Winterset Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Home of Truro.
Linda Beeler was born April 11, 1939, in Des Moines to Albert Donald and Dorothy Darlene (Beebe) Beeler. She graduated from Truro High School in 1957 and has degrees from Cottey College in Columbia, Mo., University of Northern Iowa and the University of Chicago with a library science major. Linda was the high school librarian at Thornridge High School in Dalton, Ill. As a member of the library associations, she served on various committees and attended many conventions throughout the United States and world. She retired in 1982. Linda lived in Chicago until 2001, when she returned to Madison County. She was a member of the P.E.O. chapter in Winterset and the Winterset Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a brother, Larry Beeler of Peru; three nephews, Don Beeler of Castro Valley, Calif., Larry Beeler of Indianola, and Gary Beeler of Peru; a niece, Becky Koerwitz of Denver, Colo.; and four great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Linda Beeler, daughter of Albert Donald Beeler and Dorothy Darlene (Beebe) Beeler, was born April 11, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away June 12, 2009 at Winterset Care Center South in Winterset, Iowa at the age of 70.
Linda graduated from Truro High School in 1957 and has degrees from Cottey College in Columbia, MO, University of Northern Iowa and University of Chicago with a Library Science major. She was a High School librarian in Thornridge High School in Dalton, Illinois. As a member of the Library Associations, she served on various committees and attended many conventions throughout the United States and the world. She retired in 1982. She lived in Chicago until 2001 when she returned to Madison County. Her favorite pastimes were attending the opera and symphony, touring museums, cross stitching; and she loved books, reading and her cats. She was a member of P.E.O. chapter in Winterset and a member of the Winterset Presbyterian church.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Beeler and wife Nelda of Peru; nephews, Don (Becky) Beeler of Castro Valley, CA, Larry (Lynne) Beeler of Indianola, Gary (Laura) Beeler of Peru; niece, Becky (Steve) Koerwitz of Denver, CO; great-nieces, Hallie, Lauren, Hannah and Maddie Beeler; great-nephews, Grant and Forrest Beeler and Bradley Koerwitz.
