Mary Berg, 92, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at home. Mary was born on May 24, 1916 in Winterset, Iowa to Leo and Ruth Spellman.
Mary is survived by daughters, Susan (Vic) Freeman and Gini (Bob) Wolf, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan; her parents; son, William Berg and granddaughter, Angie Freeman.
A family Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church at 6 p.m. on July 31, 2008. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa or the Animal Rescue League.
