Edward E. Killam, 82, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Edward was born June 19, 1926 in St. Charles, Iowa to Charles and Vesta Killam. He was retired from the Meredith Corporation and a WWII Army Veteran. Edward was a member of the Daylight Masonic Lodge #660. He enjoyed remodeling and building homes, investing in the Stock Market and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Edward is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clarine Killam of Des Moines; daughter, Jan (George) Belken of Des Moines; two sons, Gary (Ronda) Killam of Arizona, Tom Killam of Kansas City; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Kirstin, Katherine, Eric (Heather) and Amy (Tristan); two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Reese; sister, Arlene Johnson of Olathe, Kansas; honorary grand-dog, Dugan.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McLaren's Chapel.
