DALE LIBBY, MISSOURI

Dale Frank Libby, 84, of West Plains, Mo., died April 19, 2009, at Brooke Haven Health Care.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, April 22) at the Victory Family Worship Center under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains, Mo.

Burial was at South Fork Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Children’s Miracle Network in care of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Dale Libby was born Oct. 25, 1924, to Frank Byron and Mamie (Brown) Libby of Lorimor. His marriage to Margaret Oglesbee took place June 29, 1947, in Winterset. Dale was a farmer and had been employed for 20 years at Meredith Printing Company in Des Moines and for Amyx Manufacturing in West Plains, from which he retired in 1986. He also worked part time at Western Farm and Home in West Plains. Dale was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Victory Family Worship Center in West Plains.

He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, one grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the family home; five children — Marvin Dale Libby of Billings, Mo., Linda Kay Bruett of Winterset, Lorie Ann Falwell of West Plains, Mo., and Kelly Dean Libby and Myla Sue Provow, both of Pomona, Mo.; a brother, Ernest Libby of St. Charles; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
