LOUISE FORSYTH, Winterset

Louise Forsyth, 84, of Winterset died Feb. 23, 2009, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at the Patterson United Methodist Church with Bonnie Forsyth officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the Patterson church. Memorials may be directed to her family. Her cremains will be interred in Clark Cemetery in Madison County. Arrangements were handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. In honor of Louise, the Multi-Purpose Center will be closed Thursday, March 26.

Louise Forsyth was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Madison County to Nelson and Neva (Felton) McKibban and was a Winterset High School graduate. She was married on Feb. 25, 1942, in Bethany, Mo., to Wilbur Forsyth. Louise was a lifetime resident of Winterset and a director for MATURA (Multi-Purpose Center) for many years. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary (49 years), Extension Council and Farmers Support Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Lloyd McKibban.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Cline of Winterset; two sons, Leo Forsyth of Montrose, Colo., and Mike Forsyth of Winterset; and nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
