Nola F. Rogers, 96, of Macksburg died March 16, 2009, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, at the First Baptist Church in Winterset with Pastor John Safford officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with family receiving friends from 6–8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to her family. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Madison County.
Nola Rogers was born Oct. 22, 1912, to Asa and Zoa (Weeks) Killion of New Virginia and was a 1933 graduate of Orient High School. Her marriage to Clair Winfield Rogers took place July 22, 1941, in Columbia, Mo. Nola was a homemaker and lifetime resident of Madison County. She also was “The Crochet Lady” at Hometown Decorating in Winterset. She had been a member of the former Fellowship Church in Madison County.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Alvin Dale Rogers and David Rogers; a daughter, Malinda Rogers; two brothers, Harold Killion and Kenneth Killion; and two sisters, Hazel Hall and Ruth Walker.
She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Silverthorn of Macksburg; a brother, Dale Killion of Orient; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
