JOHN CAUDLE, Macksburg, Iowa

John Fredric Caudle, 73, of Macksburg died March 10, 2009, at the Creston Nursing & Rehab Center.

Memorial services were held Saturday, March 14, at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg. Memorials may be directed to the Macksburg United Methodist Church or the Greater Regional Hospice of Creston. Arrangements were handled by Powers Funeral Home in Creston. John Caudle was born March 5, 1936, in Webster City to William Fredrick and Mildred Pauline (Peterson) Caudle and received his education at Winterset High School. On July 12, 1958, he was united in marriage to Janice Keo Kimzey in New Virginia. He resided in New Virginia and Winterset before moving to the farm in rural Macksburg in 1960 and to town in 1993. John farmed until 1979, then worked for Farmers Coop in Macksburg, Edwards Truck Line, Cooper Truck Lines and then again for Farmers Coop in Afton and Macksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, of Macksburg; three sons, Rick Caudle of Omaha, Neb., Roger Caudle of Macksburg, and Ron Caudle of Des Moines; two sisters, Raejean Warren of Urbandale and Bethene Wildin of Sun City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
