DOROTHY M. WEESE, Urbandale

Dorothy Weese, 89, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at Karen Acres in Urbandale.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Gaynor, MO, to Joseph and Bessie (Desher) Parker. She lived in Winterset, IA, for nearly 60 years before moving to Urbandale in 2006. Dorothy worked for Pamida for over ten years before retiring in 1980. She was an avid bowler, loved to fish, was a good cook and enjoyed going to auctions.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (Bob) Schirm, of Urbandale; son, Edward (Donna) Weese, of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Michael, Dan, and Michelle Schirm, and Ryan Weese; three great-grandchildren, Daniella, Tyler, and Anna Schirm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; five brothers; four sisters; and a grandson, Todd Weese.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at McLaren's Chapel.
