Jackson - Mrs. John Spence, of this township, passed away on Wednesday evening after an illness of eight weeks, from heart trouble folled by an attack of pneumonia. The funeral services will be held from the Pitzer U.P. church on Friday at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. H. White of Winterset.

The deceased was a most esteemable christian woman and in her death the community sustains a loss that is evidences by sincere sorrow and heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved husband.

MRS. JOHN SPENCE

On last Wednesday, February 7th, Mrs. John Spence passed away at her home after a few months sickness. She had almost reached her 49th birthday. She leaves a husband, four sisters, three brothers. Interment at the U.P. cemetery.
