Death of Mrs. E. S. Mills

Mrs. E. S. Mills, of Winterset, who has been ill for several months, and whose death has been looked for for several days, passed away Tuesday morning, August 8th.

Martha S. Cox was born in Indiana March 28, 1849, and came to Madison county in 1855. She was married to Ephraim S. Mills July 26, 1866. She was the mother of 13 children, 11 of whom are now living. She united with the Baptist church of Winterset 30 years ago.

About 16 years ago she united with North River U. B. church of which she was a member at the time of her death.

The funeral services were at her late home Wednesday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Follansbee, assisted by Rev. Young, of Van Meter, her former pastor. Her death is a heavy loss to her husband and children.
