Ada Vira Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Mason, was born near Mitchellville, Jasper county, Iowa, August 23, 1894; passed out of this life Nov. 20, 1904, and has entered into that better life where all is peace and rest and joy, after an illness of but a few days, aged ten years, two months and twenty-seven days. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, five sisters and five brothers.

The deceased was in life a most obedient and dutiful daughter and loving sister. She will be missed from the family circle perhaps more than any other member of the family could have been, on account of her helpful ways and sunny disposition. Her loss will be felt by all who knew her.

This is the first time that this family tie has been broken by death. But God has seen fit to add another jewel to his crown, and in that great and final day may she welcome to that heavenly home all the loved ones left behind.

Funeral services were held Monday at the home, five and one half miles south of Van Meter, conducted by Rev. Curtis of Van Meter, after which the body was laid to rest in Earlham cemetery.

Those attending from a distance were E. B. Mason and mother, (Grandmother of the Deceased) and Mrs. Osgood of Mitchellville, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. John Wright of Valley Junction, Iowa.
