Page 1A. B. Crossley was born in Hancock co. Ohio, April 13, 1850, departed this life at his home in Bevington, November 14, 1904, aged 54 years, 7 months, and 1 day.
His last illness extended over a period of 11 weeks but his suffering brought no words of complaint. To his wife who informed him that he would soon be called to the great beyond, he expressed a willingness to go if it was the Lord's will.
His life was one full of kind deeds and those in trouble or bereavement ever found him ready to share their sorrows and to contribute to their relief.
Besides his companion he leaves one son, two daughters, three brothers and two sisters. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church at Patterson on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Bardrick of that church and the body laid to rest in the Montpelier cemetery north of Patterson.
