WILLIAM SAWYERS
William Sawyers died July 15, 1904, after a lingering illness of several years, passed to the life beyond where sickness and pain never come.
Rev. Morris preached the funeral Sunday. The sorrowing friends have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

Once more the angel of death has visited our community and taken from our midst one who has been a sufferer for many years. William Sawyer was born Sept. 5, 1867 and died July 15, 1904.
While quite young he united with the Christian church at Drake school house, of which he was a member at the time of his death.
He was married to Etta Pope March 11, 1896. To this union was born one son who is left to comfort the sorrowing mother.
He also leaves four brothers, two sisters and a host of friends to mourn his loss. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
