Earlham, IowaBreta Marie Fry, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Thursday, June 26, 1986 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Services were held Sunday, June 29, 1986 at 2:30 p.m. at the Friends Church, Earlham, Iowa, with burial in the Earlham Cemetery.
Breta Fry was born on a farm near Earlham, Iowa August 8, 1905 to George Fry and Eva Belle Johnson Fry. She was the youngest of six children born to her parents.
Breta graduated from Earlham High School in 1923. She attended Drake University for a while.
She had lived in several places before finally making her permanent home in Kansas City, Missouri in the mid 1940’s. She was an employee of the government civil service for many of her working years. She retired in 1981. She was a member of the D.A.R.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bert and Fred and two sisters, Beatrice Bricker and Virginia Hutchison.
She is survived by one sister, Vivian Grace Zeliadt of Norwalk Manor, Norwalk, Iowa, six nephews, four nieces and many of their offspring.
