Memorial Services for Loren, 63, of Des Moines will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m., at the Earlham Cemetery in Earlham, Iowa. Visitation will be after 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Loren is survived by his brothers, Harvey (Marilyn) Ganoe, of Jefferson, IA, Carl (Mary) Ganoe, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Earl Ganoe, of Corpus Christi, TX.

Loren Willard Ganoe the son of Wiley Isaac and Inez Rosamond (Wolff) Ganoe was born January 20, 1945 at Jefferson, Iowa. He was raised in the Cooper community. He attended school in Cooper and graduated from Jefferson Community School in 1963 after the schools were consolidated.
On November 12, 1966 he was united in marriage to Sheryl Ann Kading at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson, Iowa. He later moved to Des Moines, Iowa. He worked for 40 years at the Herman M. Brown Company which later changed to Road Machinery Supplies. At the time of his death he was working as a warranty administrator for Road Machinery Supplies.
He was a loyal fan of Johnny Cash, going to his concerts all over the United States. He was a friend to Johnny and his family. He was also a Civil War buff, traveling to many Civil War battlefields. He also was a collector of many things that he enjoyed.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Inez and Nellie who died in infancy, and brother Donald who died in 2004. He is survived by 3 brothers, Carl (Mary) Ganoe of Pittsburgh, PA, Harvey (Marilyn) Ganoe of Jefferson, IA and Earl Ganoe of Corpus Christi, TX. Several nieces and nephews, Dennis Devine of Council Bluffs, IA and his many other Johnny Cash friends, Laura Williams and Chelsea, and many other friends and relatives.
