Lucille C. Bosley, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Bejeck Veverka was born April 20, 1900 in Madison County, Iowa. She passed away June 29, 1982 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines following an accident at her home.

Lucille spent her early years in the Earlham community. She graduated from the Earlham Academy and later attended Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines. For over ten years she was employed by the Central Life Insurance Company in Des Moines.

On April 21, 1935 she was united in marriage to Homer Bosley in Princeton, Illinois.

Lucille enjoyed gardening and had a special love for roses.

Survivors include her loving husband, Homer of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Mapes of Earlham and Mrs. Emma Devore of Princeton, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Services were conducted at McKee Funeral Home in Earlham on July 2, 1982 with Pastor Eldon Cole officiating. Music was an organ solo, “In the Garden.” Casket bearers were Lawrence Devore, Bruce DeWall, Robert DeWall, Donald Mapes, Franklin Mapes, George Wilkie and James Wilkie. Interment was at the Earlham Cemetery.
