Last Rites for Earl Mills

Obituary

Lester Earl Mills, son of Jehu and Mary Jane Mills, was born near Earlham on February 4, 1880.

At the age of ten he moved, with his parents, to Stuart, Iowa, where he attended school and grew to manhood.

In 1910 he was united in marriage to Maude B. Thomas of Dexter. Three sons were born to this union: Earl M., Marvin J. and George M.

The family then moved to Earlham in the year 1929 where they resided until June of 1954. Because of poor health he moved to Des Moines to be near his children.

Mr. Mills passed away of a heart ailment, at the age of 75, on March 1st, 1956 at Iowa Methodist hospital. Surviving are his widow, Maude, three sons and six grandchildren. Services were held at Arnolds Highland Park Funeral Home with burial in Glendale Masonic cemetery.
