Maxine Lewis McCoy

Maxine Lewis McCoy died at the home of her son Edward McCoy in Urbandale on Nov. 26, at the age of 85.

She was the sister of R. J. (Bob) Lewis and Ward E. Lewis. She attended country and grade schools in and near Earlham until the death of her mother when she went to Dexter to live with R. J. and Cecile Lewis and attend school there.

She moved back to Earlham and graduated from Earlham High School. Before her retirement she was employed by the American Lung Association. She was a good and loving mother and a talented artist.

Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Des Moines with burial at the Earlham cemetery.
