Alice Pearson was born July 29, 1845 in Belmont County, Ohio. When seven years of age she came with her parents to Warren County, Iowa, and a year later they moved to Polk County, Iowa, where she resided until her mother’s death. She then lived with her sister Mrs. Jennie Stanford and her niece Mrs. Harry Leeper until her death Jan. 6, 1919. The deceased was 73 years, 5 months and 6 days old.
Two brothers, O. H. Pearson and Clark Pearson, both of Altoona, Iowa, are living. Her only sister Mrs. Jennie Stanford died on Jan. 2, 1919, just four days apart. She had been afflicted for years but passed away very gently. She was of a kind and loving disposition.
Funeral services were held at the Harry Leeper home Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Carl Clark. Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.
