Obituary

Martin Mohler was born January 17, 1889 in Streeter, Illinois. At the age of 85 years, he passed away June 22, 1974 at the Maude Norton Memorial hospital in Columbus, Kansas.

Martin operated a produce business in Earlham for about 20 years, before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he was in the restaurant business until his retirement 15 years ago. Since that time he has made his home with his children and was at the home of his daughter in Hallowell, Kansas for the past several months.

Martin was a retired cook, veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle and by one son, Roland Mohler, March 19, 1971.

He is survived by two sons: Arthur of Des Moines and Robert of Fountain Valley, California; three daughters: Arlene Stephens of Hallowell, Kansas; Helen Turner of Bakersfield, California and Lois Pesch of Carlisle, Indiana; 27 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
