Memorial Service for Alta Fenn, 93

Memorial services were held for Alta Fenn July 26, 1977, at 1:30 p.m. in the Earlham Methodist church.

Alta Naomi Hodson was born in Dallas county near Linden, January 17, 1884. She was the daughter of John and Dora Hodson. She passed away at the Earlham Care Center July 23, 1977, at the age of 93 years, six months and six days.

Alta was united in marriage to Bert Fenn February 14, 1905. To this union five children were born. She spent most of her early married life in Dallas county, moving to Earlham in 1942, where she spent her remaining years. She was a member of the Earlham United Methodist church since 1953.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, and two sons, Elbert and Ronald.

She is survived by three children, Carroll of Perry, Edith Cooper of Earlham, and Grace Biles of Sioux City; ten grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Services were held in the Earlham United Methodist church on July 26, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Dave L. Higdon officiating.
