Obituary

Charles C. Henson was born March 10, 1888 near Bolivar, Missouri and passed away May 20 at the Earlham Manor Care Center at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 10 days.

Charles was one of ten children born to Jim and Delia Henson. All have preceded him in death except one brother, Frank Henson of Charleston, South Carolina, and one sister Bertha Vass of Aurora, Missouri.

In 1912 he was united in marriage to Mae Netherton of Cliquot, Missouri. Mae preceded him in death in 1954. To this union four children were born: Carl of Jefferson, Jewell Robinson of Littleton, Colorado; Ruby Easley of Dexter; and Marjorie Gore of Orlando, Florida.

He is survived by all his children, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Charles and Mae came to Iowa from Missouri in 1914 and were engaged in farming in the Bagley and Yale communities until 1947 when they moved to their farm home south of Earlham.

He loved farming and farm life. He will be missed by all of us who loved him.
