Obituary

Cleo Pearl Price passed away at the Dexter Hospital on Friday, December 3, following a short illness. She was born in Madison county, on November 11, 1886. She was ninety years and 22 days old at the time of her death.

Pearl was one of eleven children born to Simeon and Mary Wynkoop. She became a member of the Fairview Methodist Church early in her life, and later transferred her membership to the Earlham Methodist Church.

She had lived in Madison county all of her life. On March 25, 1908 she was married to Roy Price. They spent the earlier years of their married life on the farm, then moved to Earlham in 1934. Roy preceded her in death in November of 1967. She continued to reside in her Earlham home which has been her home for 33 years.

Pearl was a quiet, happy, home loving person. She enjoyed the out of doors. Summer time found her gardening, canning, and sharing her produce with others.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Garry, Clyde, and Zene Wynkoop; and her sisters, Mrs. Anna Cook, Mrs. Vergie Hamilton, and Eva, Aileen, Louise, and Grace Wynkoop. She has one surviving sister, Mrs. Blanche Wright.

They were the parents of seven children. Four children: Cleo, Maurice, Willard, and Robert preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Mildred Robertson and Mrs. Eileen Ramsey, and a son Herbert Price. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Note: Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.
