Funeral services for Ross Harrison were held in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska on July 6, 1976. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha.
Ross was born January 31, 1891 on the farm east of Earlham, Iowa where Leo and Bessie Mapes now live. He was the son of William and Rebecca Wilson Harrison.
Ross attended schools in the Earlham Community and graduated from the Academy with the class of 1912. He served in his country’s Armed Service overseas in World War I then lived a number of years in Blakesburg, Iowa with his brother, Ray.
In 1942, Ross moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he was employed. He was married to Mamie Bichel Schneider on October 15, 1955.
On June 19, 1976 he was taken to the hospital after he had suffered a paralytic stroke. He passed away on July 3, 1976.
He is survived by his wife and a brother, Bruce of Arizona, three nephews and cousins that include Frank, Hugh and Marion Wilson.
Those from Earlham who attended the services on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson, Hugh and Marion Wilson, Helen Ludwick and Martha Koboldt.
