Opal Irene Ory Smith, daughter of Ward and Hazel Ory was born December 25, 1916 on a farm in Dallas County near DeSoto, and passed away at her home north of Earlham on October 29, 1972.

On December 19, 1936 she was united in marriage to Alfred J. Smith. To this union was born five children: Ronald of Earlham, Sharon Ethell of Carlisle, Randy at home and two infants who preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, three children, eight grandchildren, one brother and a host of friends.
