Judith Ann Ayers, 66, of St. Charles died Nov. 19, 2008, at her home.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 22, at St. Charles Cemetery with Bryan Arzani officiating. Memorials may be directed to the St. Charles Fire & Rescue or Humane Society. Arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
Judy Ayers was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Des Moines to Harold and Jane Hogendorn and was a graduate of Urbandale High School. On Dec. 1, 1977, she was united in marriage to John Mart Ayers. She and John resided near St. Charles for over 30 years. Judy was employed as a secretary for the State of Iowa Treasurer’s office.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by a daughter, Kim Harkness of Waukee; two stepsons, Greg Ayers of St. Charles and Victor Ayers of Carlisle; one stepdaughter, Cindy Gray of Prole; a brother, Ron Ostling of Iowa City; and five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
