Death of MRS. DANIEL CLARK

Mrs. Ella Johnson Clark died of pneumonia on last Thursday at her home in Bevington, her final illness lasting only a week.

Mrs. Clark, a daughter of Bernard Johnson, spent the 25 years of her life in Bevington, where her early death is greatly mourned by the entire community. She leaves two small childen, her husband and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at St. Patrick's church, Rev. Condon conducting.

ELLA JOHNSON CLARK

The death of Ella Johnson Clark makes the third death in the family in ten months: The mother, Mrs. B. Johnson, who died last February, a daughter, Mrs. Swisher, a month ago and Mrs. Clark, who died last Thursday evening at 6 o'clock. The cause of her death was flu pneumonia.

She leaves beside her husband, two sons, aged four and two years.

Funeral services were conducted at Churchville by Rev. Condon and interment was in St. Patricks cemetery.

MRS. DANIEL CLARKE

Ella Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Johnson, was born July 5, 1893 at Bevington, Iowa, and passed away on Nov. 7, 1918, age 25 years. She received her early education in the Bevington school and later attended St. Joseph's academy in Des Moines. On Sept. 20, 1912, she was united in marriage to Daniel Clarke, who with two children: Daniel Jr., age 4 years and John, age 2 years, mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother.

She also leaves one sister and four brothers: Mrs. Mike Breen and J. C. Johnson of Winterset; T. F. Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., William L. and Joseph A., in France.

She was kind and good to everyone and her early passing is mourned by many. Her last illness was of one week's duration and she passed away to her eternal reward strengthened with all the consoling rites of the Catholic church.

Her funeral, which was largely attended, was held Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Requiem high mass was celebrated by her pastor, Rev. J. J. Condon, who also read the beautiful services of the dead, and her remains were laid to rest in St. Patrick's cemetery.
