Died:--Mrs. Doty, wife of Honorable Jas. Doty, living one and one-half miles south of town. On the evening of June 29 Mrs. Doty retired for the evening apparently as well as usual but awoke in the night and was taken suddenly ill and only lived a few minutes. Heart failure is the ascribed cause of death. Surrounded by a concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives, she was interred in the cemetery south of town on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Mrs. Doty was past sixty years of age and had spent a life of devotion to her family and friends, and the community in general feel the loss of her exemplary life.

Note: Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
