Obituary

Myrtle Paisley McClure was born February 21, 1864 in Louisa County, Iowa, and passed away June 2, 1966, at the age of 102 years and 3 months. She was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Paisley.

Myrtle was a member of the Earlham Methodist church and a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge.

She was united in marriage to Vannatta McClure on September 2, 1884 in Louisa county, Iowa, where they made their home for several years. Her husband passed away in May 1934. She made her home with her daughter, Della Smith, for the past 16 years.

She is survived by her three children, Rosa Smith of Dexter, Della Smith of Earlham, and Will McClure and wife, Nell, of Winterset; ten grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4, at the Earlham Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Larry McGranahan, in charge. Interment was in the Winterset cemetery.

Casket bearers were Homer Smith, Edwin Smith, Larry Dolan, Raymond Smith, Edwin Smith jr. and Mickey Moore.
