Funeral Services for Bert Fenn

Funeral services for Bert Fenn were conducted on Saturday, April 16, at the Earlham Methodist church. Mr. Fenn had passed away at his home in Earlham on Thursday, April 14.

Rev. Larry McGranahan was in charge of services. Music was provided by Sharon Hauschildt accompanied at the organ by Dolores Summy.

Casket bearers were Richard Cooper, Keith Fenn, Lenard Fenn, Leland Fenn, Dennis Fenn and James Fenn. Interment was in West Linn cemetery northeast of Linden. Roy Evans was the funeral director.

Obituary

Berttrum M. Fenn was born near Adel, Iowa, on September 13, 1883, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Fenn, and passed away at his home on April 14, 1966, at the age of 82.

Bert was united in marriage to Alta Hodson, February 14, 1905. To this union five children were born: Carroll of Perry, Elbert of Dallas Center, Edith Cooper of Earlham, Grace Giles of Sioux City, and Ronald who preceded him in death on November 14, 1964.

He spent his early married years on a farm near Linden and moved to Earlham in 1942 where he spent his remaining years. Bert had been a member of the Earlham Methodist church since 1953.

Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother Earl of Adel, and a host of other relatives and friends.
