Services Thursday For Mrs. Gipple
Mrs. Claire Gipple, 68, who has been in failing health the past several years, died at the Dexter Clinic hospital Monday evening.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, May 12, at the Earlham Methodist church at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Larry McGranahan is in charge of services.
Mrs. Dolores Summy is the organist.
Casket bearers are: Lyman Oaks, Bob Branam, Glenn Stegall, L. O. Patten, Rex Fuller and Lyle Summy.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Anita.

Obituary
Mrs. Claire Gipple, 68, passed away at 9:05 p.m., Monday, May 9, at the Dexter hospital in Dexter,. She had been in poor health for several years and was taken seriously ill on Sunday.
Mary Arlene Hawk was born in Audubon County, August 20, 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hawk. After graduating from Exira High School in 1919 she taught for several years in Audubon and Cass counties.
Arlene was a member of the Earlham Methodist church, the Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges, the Garden Club and the Study and Social Club.
She was united in marriage to Claire Gipple on August 29, 1923. They lived in Exira for 17 years and for the past 21 years have resided in Earlham.
She is survived by her husband Claire, one daughter, Helen Nystrom, of Des Moines, and two granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Matson of Truman, Minn. And Mrs. Merle Robison of Anita, and one brother, Vernon Hawk of Truman, Minn.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 19, at the Earlham Methodist church. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Anita, Iowa.
