Services Held For Dick Osborn’s Father

Lawrence Osborn, 78, died Wednesday evening at Winterset. He had been ill since last October.

He had lived in Madison county most of his life, spending many years in farming and later working for the Hawkeye Lumber Co., in Winterset. He and his wife observed their 55th wedding anniversary a few weeks before his death.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Kingery of Macksburg; two sons, Leo of Austin, Texas, and Richard of Earlham; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Winterset Saturday afternoon with burial in the Winterset cemetery.
