Zin Marie Evans of South Gate, Ca, passed away August 6, 2008 following a recent bout with pneumonia.
Born Zin M. Boyd on July 25, 1953 in Winterset, Iowa, Zin came to South Gate at six months old with her parents Miriam Y. and Harland J. Boyd. Zin graduated from South Gate High School in 1971 and her artistic talents garnered her a scholarship to attend cosmetology school. With her tremendous talent, vibrant personality and infectious laugh, Zin quickly established a broad clinentele and worked in the beauty industry for more than 25 years.
Zim was always thoughtful of others and, above all, she was a loving mother and caring friend. She is in our hearts forever.
Zin is survived by her sons, Cory J. Evans and Chad A. Vickers, mother, Miriam Boyd, brother, Guy H. Boyd, and two grandchildren, Miriam and Frank Evans.
Memorial service: 11 a.m., Sat. Aug l6th (visitation 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) At Biby Belyea Mortuary 8665 California Ave., South Gate, Ca. 90280
