JOSEPH LEE BRYAN - Des Moines

Joseph Lee Bryan, 69, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center of complications of surgery.

Joe was born January 20, 1939 in Winterset, IA to John L and Dorotha (Estell) Bryan. He graduated from Truro High School in 1958.

Joe married Margaret Molloy on March 24, 1962 in Winterset, IA.

Joe was a farmer and had also worked on several major construction projects in Des Moines, IA. He was a past member of the Truro Lions Club and Laborers Local #1177.

Joe is survived by his wife Margaret; son John (Andy) and wife Amanda; grandchildren Emma Elizabeth and Zachary Joseph; sisters Jeanne (Wayne) Kordick of Corning, IA., Mildred (Dale) Sheldon of Crawford, NE., Carole (LaVerne) Seversike of Collins, IA., and Karla (Lynn) Kramer of Panora, IA., and mother-in-law Fern Molloy of St. Charles, IA.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Visitation will be open after 12 noon Monday with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

JOSEPH BRYAN, TRURO

Joseph Lee Bryan, 69, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center of complications of surgery.

Joe was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Winterset, Iowa, to John L. and Dorotha (Estell) Bryan. He graduated from Truro High School in 1958.

Joe married Margaret Molloy on March 24, 1962 in Winterset.

Joe was a farmer and also had worked on several major construction projects in Des Moines. He was a past member of the Truro Lions Club and Laborers Local 177.

Joe is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, John (Andy) and wife Amanda of Waukee, Iowa; grandchildren, Emma Elizabeth and Zachary Joseph of Waukee, Iowa; sisters, Jeanne (Wayne) Kordick of Corning, Iowa, Mildred (Dale) Sheldon of Crawford, Neb., Carole (LaVerne) Seversike of Collins, Iowa., and Karla (Lynn) Kramer of Panora, Iowa.; and mother-in-law, Fern Molloy of St. Charles, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery in Madison County.
