Stanley O. Nelson, age 94, died at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa late Tuesday June 17, 2008. A private family graveside service will be held at the Penn Center Cemetery at a later date.

Stanley Nelson, 94, passed away on Tuesday, June 17. Stanley was born on February 26, 1914 in Douds, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa and farmed near Earlham until his retirement.

Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Margrette.

Surviving are his children, Judy Wallace of Watervliet, NY, Diana Playle of Des Moines, and Dean Nelson of Earlham; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
