Middle River

On Sunday evening, March 6th, 1898, Mrs. Jane Moore’s happy spirit took its flight to dwell with God. The funeral sermon was preached at the church in Webster last Tuesday by Rev. Wheeler, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Hooten cemetery. She leaves a husband, one son, an aged mother, one sister and five brothers, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.

“She has gone, and the loss makes us sad,

Yet we feel that it’s heaven’s own gain,

And may her bright entrance to that glory land

Be a beacon to those who remain.”
