Pg 8Died, January 16, 1898, at 8:30 a.m., George Waugh, aged 28 years. He had been a constant sufferer from childhood until some months ago consumption set in which ended his career. He was an intelligent young man and made many warm friends in this community, and will be sadly missed from our midst.
The funeral occurred on Monday at the church in Murray and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery one mile south of Murray.
He leaves a mother, brother, sister, and a host of friends to mourn his loss. The family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. It will be remembered that his father died of heart failure a little less than two years ago at Hastings, Neb., while on his way home from Kansas.
