Winterset, IowaDeath of Jesse Allen
Jesse Allen, formerly of Madison county and late of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died at his home December 29. He was born in Warren county in 1849. In manhood he was married to Rhody Persinger who passed away in 1876 in Madison county. To this union seven children were born of whom one son Samuel of Winterset still survives.
In 1878 he was married to Eva Griffith of Winterset who preceded him in death in 1905. To this union five children were born. Those surviving are Flora Clark of Winterset, James of Missouri Valley, and Anna Feree of Sargent, Nebraska.
In 1906 he was married to Rebecca Bishop who survives him.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Missouri Valley Friday morning Dec. 31. The body was taken to Waterloo, Nebraska for burial.
