Page 2The MADISONIAN is pained to hear of the bereavement of our worthy old friend, R. P. Bruce, of Douglas township, in the death of his wife, which occurred last Tuesday. Mrs. Bruce was for many years a resident of Winterset, known as Miss McCleary. She was a sister of Mrs. C. Westfall, with whom she made her home in the earlier years. Mrs. Bruce was a quiet, exemplary, Christian woman, who will be sadly missed by husband, family and intimate friends.
