John Cook Dead.

Notice was made in these columns Tuesday of the serious sickness of John Cook, of Casey, formerly of this county. Death has since come, and the remains were brought here yesterday evening for burial, accompanied by the family and Comrade Doop, of Stanfield Post, G.A.R., of which Mr. Cook was a member.

The funeral services were held this afternoon from the residence of A. S. Gray, of this city, father-in-law of the deceased, conducted by Pitzer Post, G.A.R. The pall bearers were selected from members of the 39th Iowa, in which regiment Mr. Cook was a soldier.
