Mrs. Eliza (Lovelace) Hoff, wife of T. F. Hoff, died about noon on Wednesday. As has been reported from time to time in these items, she was a constant and terrible sufferer from cancer, to which, despite of all skill to be found and kind nursing which was constant, she was compelled to give up her life in the midst of her usefulness. No one in St. Charles was more ready to give comfort to the sick and afflicted than this noble Christian woman. Her loss will be felt by her bereaved husband and children, by her church, by her sisters of the W.R.C., and by all who knew her. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock a.m. (tomorrow).

The Winterset relatives of Mrs. T. F. Hoff, of St. Charles, received the sad message of her death, which occurred at about 10 o’clock yesterday morning. For some two or three years past Mrs. Hoff has been a great sufferer from internal cancer, and to her death came as a relief. A more devoted and faithful Christian, a greater worker in all benevolent and charitable enterprises, and a more exemplary wife and mother than Mrs. Hoff could not be found. The funeral will be held to-day at the Methodist church at St. Charles.
