Mrs. J. H. LaPella and daughter, of Douglas township, whose sickness was mentioned in these columns a couple of weeks ago, had gradually improved, until last Saturday, then seemed to have suffered a slight relapse, which, however, was believed to be but temporary. This belief seems to be well grounded in the case of Mrs. LaPella, but in the case of the daughter, Miss Elma, aged about fourteen, it proved to be delusive. She rapidly grew worse, until this morning, when she passed to the beyond.

On Tuesday morning the grim messenger death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Lapella, of Douglas township, and took from the little family circle Elma, aged fourteen. She had been sick two or three weeks, but was not considered dangerously so until pneumonia set in which ended the bright young life. The funeral was held at Worthington Wednesday.
