Boy Fatally Injured in Traffic Accident

David R. Reed, 4-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Reed of Winterset, was fatally injured Saturday evening when struck by a car on the highway in front of his West Summit street home.

David Roy Reed was born in Des Moines on Nov. 28, 1964, a son of Glenn and Bertha Bailey Reed. The family moved to Winterset about a year ago.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a 10-year old brother, Michael; a 6-year old brother, Mark; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Reed of Des Moines. His maternal grandparents were the late Mr and Mrs. Clarence Bailey of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday from Collins Funeral home in Winterset. The Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church, and the Rev. E. D. Vance of Des Moines, were to officiate. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
