Obituary

Dorothy Elizabeth Webb Gordon, daughter of Reuben and Christine Webb, was born September 17, 1923 near Adel in Dallas County. She was the oldest of three children. She passed away in the home of her parents on Sunday, November 5, 1961, at the age of 38 years, 1 month and 19 days.

She attended the Earlham school, receiving most of her formal education and graduating from there in May 1941. Later she attended the Iowa Beauty School where she completed and worked for the late Dr. Bobenhouse and was employed as a beautician. Dorothy receptionist for Dr. Terrill in Des Moines at the time of her death.

She was united in marriage August 29, 1942 to Dale Gordon, who preceded her in death. To this union one son, Daryl, was born. She leaves to mourn her passing besides her son, her parents, Reuben and Christine, a sister and her family, Mrs. Mercer Davis, and a brother and his family, Byron Webb; also a great number of uncles, aunts and cousins besides hosts of friends and neighbors.

Note: Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.
