MRS. CLIFF (LORIE) ROBERTS, Seattle, Wash.

Mrs. Cliff (Lorie) Roberts, 77, a former area resident, died Friday, July 26, 1985, in Seattle, Wash.

Born Aug. 10, 1908 in Van Meter, she was a victim of polio at the age of 21, which left her crippled for the rest of her life. However, her handicap did not keep her from living an active life. She was an avid swimmer and drove her own car with special equipment until her death.

She and her husband Cliff lived in Winterset for many years, and in 1936, moved to Seattle. The couple had two children, Barbara and Phillip, both of Seattle.
