SAMUEL T. RAITT Died Here Sunday

Samuel T. Raitt, long time resident of the Winterset community, died Sunday at the Lane Nursing home here, after having suffered severe head injuries in a fall at his rooming house here last Wednesday. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Raitt was born at Clarinda on March 22, 1875, the son of Robert and Mary E. Raitt. He became a member of the United Presbyterian church at an early age. Most of his active life was spent in Madison county.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Nette Palmer; and a brother, John G. Raitt of Colfax.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Anderson Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon of the Winterset United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.
