Services for Richard R. Brunsmann, 77, Winterset, who died May 4, 1988 at Des Moines General Hospital, were held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset on Monday, May 7, with the Rev. Maurice J. Schulte officiating. Burial was at the Calvery Cemetery in Stuart.
Born at Norcross, Minn., on April 13, 1911, he was the son of Henry and Anna Reisberg Brunsmann. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Winterset for 10 years, coming from Earlham. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
On Oct. 31, 1935, he was married to Maxine Howard at Bethany, Mo. He had served with the calvary in the Army from 1935 to 1938.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John of Winterset; daughters, Ann Holtmyer of Dexter and Nancy Welch of Winterset; sisters, Jean Skvor, Ida Ralison and Angie Jennings, all of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two brothers and two sisters.
